Butterfly

Crochet Butterfly Bobble Pattern

I was making a blanket for a friend of mine and was looking for written instructions or video on how to do the bobble butterfly. I had found written instructions for the heart but only found the pattern of the butterfly. So to make it easier for me to crochet, (I like written instructions when I crochet) I decided to write or type out the instructions myself. It helps me get my project done faster!

I found the butterfly pattern here on Pinterest.

The instructions below are based on a square I made for a blanket. For my blanket, I had 27 sts across and 32 rows. You can adjust the sts and rows base on how small or big you want your square. Enjoy the pattern below and happy crocheting!

I am using the US crochet terms.
The Crochet terms I used are as follows:

sts - stitches
ch - chain

sc- single crochet
dc - double crochet
MB - make bobble

MB = make 4 open dc in same stitch leaving 5 loops on hook, draw yarn through all 5 loops. So in the MB stitch you will do as follows, yarn over, hook into next stitch, yarn over (3 loops on hook), yarn over and pull through two loops leaving 2 loops on hook, yarn over, hook into same stitch, yarn over pull through two loops, 3 loops on hook, continue as above till you have 5 loops on hook after the last open double and then yarn over and pull through all 5 loops on hook. One bobble complete!

To Start Chain 28

Row 1 - Sc in 2nd ch from hook. Sc in each chain to the end, ch 1 and turn. (27 sc)

Row 2 - Sc in each st until the end, ch 1 and turn. (27 sc)

Snow Day!

It's so funny how I drive in my 1st snow storm in NC when I was living in NY all my life! LOL! I never had to drive in the storm until yesterday and even though it took me 6 hrs to get home, I didn't mind it. However, I will never want to do it again! I don't like driving even when it's clear outside! So now I'm at home, blogging, looking for work and trying to entertain the boys. I really do wish my husband could have stayed home for his job made him come in today! (THEY SUCK!) So whoever is reading this please pray for his safety.

It's so funny how this state shuts down from a snow storm and after all these years they still don't have the equipment (just in case) for the snow when it happens. I know it don't happen all the time, but shouldn't you be prepared just in case? Well I guess I should be happy because I get to have a day off. But in the situation I'm in, everyday off means no day of pay and I need as much as I can get right now.

Which brings me to my blog, and my god's gift to me to share with you. This snow day reminds me that my crochet and knitting is what I do best and would like to share it to the world! Keeping you warm is what I like to do, as well as giving you a precious gift made from my heart! (Those are always the best products) Check out my stuff that I made, and currently making and comment on what you would like to see (or what you would like to be made)!
